In 2025, I made the decision to become Relocation Certified, and it’s something I’m really proud of because it directly helps a group of people who are often under a lot of pressure.
Job relocations sound exciting… and they are. But they can also be overwhelming, stressful, and full of timelines, rules, and paperwork that most buyers and sellers don’t deal with in a typical move.
That’s exactly why relocation certification matters.
What “Relocation” Really Means
When someone is buying or selling a home because of a job transfer, promotion, or corporate move, there’s often a relocation company involved. These companies work on behalf of employers and usually require the employee to work with a relocation-certified real estate agent.
That certification means I understand:
How relocation companies operate
The timelines and reporting they require
The specific contracts, addendums, and procedures involved
How to protect my client while still meeting employer and relocation company expectations
In short, there’s a lot more behind the scenes than a standard transaction.
Why I Got Certified
I’ve worked with enough clients to know that when a move is tied to a job, there’s often:
A hard deadline
Emotional stress (new job, new area, sometimes new schools)
Very little margin for error
I wanted to be fully prepared to advocate for my clients and navigate the corporate side smoothly, without them feeling like they’re juggling one more thing.
If You’re Relocating for Work, Start Here
This part is really important:
👉 The first thing you should do is tell your employer that you already have a relocation-certified real estate agent.
That simple step can make all the difference. Once your employer knows you’re working with a certified agent, I can step in, coordinate directly with the relocation company, and take it from there.
You don’t need to figure out the process alone, that’s literally what I’m trained to do.
How I Help
Whether you’re:
Moving into the area for a new job
Selling because your career is taking you somewhere else
Or know someone facing a relocation move
I help manage the details, the deadlines, the communication, and the strategy so you can focus on your transition, not the logistics.
If a job move is on the horizon (or already happening), give me a call. Even if you’re early in the process, a quick conversation can save you a lot of stress later.
I love what I do, and I especially love helping people through big life changes, the ones that matter most.
