Beaches Turks & Caicos - A Vacation Review

In March, my family traveled to Turks and Caicos to stay at Beaches Resort. There were 6 kids and 6 adults on our trip. All three families stay at the Caribbean Village. This was our fourth time on the island and third time at Beaches. (my husband and I stayed at Club Med once which was great)

Obviously, we love Turk and Caicos or we wouldn't keep coming back. It's the best beach we have ever seen. The ocean water is crystal clear and a beautiful shade of turquoise.

The resort offers kayaking, snorkeling, paddle boarding and some other ocean activities at no additional charge. We tried to do the glass bottom boat tour but spots went quick unless you signed up at 6:30am. (and I was not getting up that early to reserve spots)

The resort itself is made up of 4 villages: Caribbean, French, Italian and Key West. We always stay at Caribbean because it makes the most sense for our budget. We spend so little time in the room anyway we don't splurge on the nicer villages. However, we were upgraded on one of our trips to the Key West and I can tell you it was AMAZING!!! If you have the money to stay in that section, you won't be disappointed!

Places to go and things to do

Our favorite food: The Jerk Shack for jerk chicken everyday for lunch! I also recommend the corn and sweet potato fries there. We also loved the taco station outside of Arizona's. (tip - if you like curly fries they have them at the Arizona buffet at lunch)

The kids love Napoli's Pizza. Located by the Caribbean Village pool, this pizza spot is very popular so order ahead of time! For a great dinner spot check out Kimonos. We had a fun hibachi experience. Make reservations a day in advance.

And don't forget the Mac and Cheese truck, their Mac and cheese balls definitely aren't healthy but they are delicious. The truck is near the kid's water park.

Within the resort my family likes to bounce around throughout the day and the week. We spent time everyday on the beach and at the pool. Our favorite pool was the one located in the Italian Village. That's where all the action is. If you want a more quiet relaxing pool experience, head to the French Village.

The kids love the water park area. There are slides for big kids and slides for toddlers. If you want to float around you can hop in the lazy river too.

Outside the resort, we did a half day boat tour that I thought was fantastic. We booked through Island Routes in the Caribbean lobby. The boat tour included conch diving and a sea shell adventure. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience to get a conch, have the first mate clean and prepare the conch and then eat fresh conch ceviche on the boat! 10/10 recommend

The evening entertainment schedule is stacked each night. If you have little kids, don't miss the Sesame Street shows! We love the fire dancer night and the Parade night (Fridays).

More Tips:
-pack a lot of sunscreen and then pack one more bottle
-pack sun shirts for the kids
-pack your patience for the airport when you depart
-remember the locals live on island time
-there is a 2nd floor to the airport if you need more space when you are waiting to depart
-there is a Facebook Group for the resort
-sign up for Beaches Rewards program so you can earn credit for your stay
-there is live music most nights outside the buffet in the Key West Village
-Caribbean Village has the biggest resort shop if you want some Beaches merch

Till next time Turks.....

If you have any questions about the resort just let me know!
